I’ve developed all flash sites. I’ve deployed cms systems. I even wrote one myself. Yet, I still didn’t have my own personal blog. So after seeing my wife and so many friends so immersed in the blogging world i just couldn’t resist anymore. I had to dive in. “I don’t have the time it takes to do it properly”, I said. Well, I guess I’ll make time. Life’s too short to miss out on this much fun.

I noticed the Currently Playing section on your site. How are you generating this list dynamically? Is that some AppleScript/PHP script you wrote? What happens if nothing is currently playing?

I’m using the term “Currently Playing” loosely here. This a list of music I’m just into right now. There is no way I would use a dynamically generated playlist because my music library is very diverse. And if I’m playing some classical music, I might not be wanting to scream “look at me I’m listening to Classical music!” So I just look up the CD through Amazon Associate link generator, grab the link and the image, upload it through Panic’s Transmit Dock Send Feature(just drop it in my dock icon) and post. I will be posting about how I put it all together soon.

Thanks anyways–I thought it was dynamic. Figuring out how to do stuff like this tickles my fancy.

Dont worry about what other people think about your music. I doubt anyone would hold anything against you for listening to–say–Strauss. If you have Yanni playing all the time I guess it would be a different story. ;)
