The web has become a great place to find free and immediate access to fonts of all kinds. Some good, some not so good. But, with a few clicks it’s very easy to find out if your logo type will work in a particular font. Here’s a list of a few free font sites I visit when working on a new project. My favorite one, DaFont. Organized by style, searchable and allows you to do a custom preview of the fonts with your own text (see image) right on the browser.

My favorite DaFont feature, the custom preview.

I’ve been combing through all my fonts. to get the exact right script for our little project’s logotype. Da Font is great. you should also check out Veer.com they have a great font preview thingy.
Veer is cool but aren’t they all free at DaFont?
I’ve tried DaFont, and found it very useful. I’ve also used GetFreeFonts.info, which has also been useful.
Uhm….
OK OK OK. How come none of you have posted about FONTLEECH.com?
This is THE best place to get FREE fonts.
Go thre now, or be a FONT lamer!
Jason.
Some much time can be spent getting new fonts. Whole days have passed for me.
Hi Fontgurus,
does anyone now if there is a software that can create and print preview lists with postscript fonts that not is installed/activated.
We serveral thousand fonts thats not activated.
A software that could create fontbooks of all the fonts on a harddisk would save us a lot of time….
Thanks from a crisp and blueskye clear winter in Sweden!
