This is my car’s window getting replaced as it was broken by the new owner of my stolen iPod. There’s is something sad about loosing one’s iPod. It’s such a personal item. Specially for an audiophile like me. My iPod served me well though. And although I was always tempted to replace it whenever I visited the Apple Store there was a sense of faithfulness to sticking with it. Even though it was looking really big compared to all the new ones, it didn’t play video, and had a busted screen. It was my iPod with my music. So here it is to you my dear iPod, may you serve well your new master. Although I wouldn’t blame you if you decide to stop working.

Hi,
Last month i was mugged, very frightening moment for my 30gb ipod video by gang of youths. Contacted apple to ask if they could trace it, they came out with some privacy crap.
Had all my music on it, and i know it feels weird some SOB is listening to your music.
As i had no insurance had to fork out another £250 for a 80gb ipod which i am going to be alot more vigilent with.
take care

If you are a sick bastard that stole anyone’s iPod, I have 1 thing to say to you….
burn in hell JACKASS!
Oh yeah, I feel for you. I had a 30gb Creative Zen M Vision stolen off me. I know it’s not an Ipod but it almost identical to a Video Ipod. At first I thought I had lost it, look back in my classes… nothing…. ask the janitors…. nothing…. Went to the main office to see if someone had handed it in….. nothing. Now I know for sure someone has stolen cause it would have turned up by now if someone had dropped it. And like many people heres it just not that it’s a expensive piece of hardware, but all the music you loved belongs to someone else now. All those personal obscure songs that mean something to you is now in the hands of a theif. It is as if someone has taken a part of your personality. After having a little 1gb muvo for so long I grew attached to that and never really got into my new zen but this past week I’ve really got attached to it and now this bullshit happens. I do feel so angry and helpless just now but what can you do?
man i got mine stolen last thursday let a kid borrow it 1 of my best friends he wanted to listen to it in 4th block and i let him use it after class he said the teacher took it i asked yesterday 3 techers they dident even know about it i really trusted him man forget it writeng on this website about peoples pain makes me feel worse……srry to every 1 who trust people like i do know i am not so trust worthy of people any more it was a 30 gb video only had it for 60 days

it is kindof hard but i got my ipod stolen as well and no one wants to help me find it. it was march 13th 2007,when i was taking a test in my math class and i got help from my teacher. at the end of the day it was missing and i have the serial number .i just cant seem how to trak it
I lost my ipod today as well and found this site while looking for ways to track it. It really fucking blows. Ive had it for a year and i never thought i would lose it =(. I went to eat lunch then went to the gym for some lifting before class. I didnt bother to use it while working out today because i knew the batteries were low from lunch. After the gym i realized it was missing but now i cant be sure if i left it in the dinning hall or someone stole it from my locker while i was lifting. I contacted both the staff of the dinning hall and the employees of the gym and although everyone is helpful it has not turned up. It seems that im not alone in my anguish. but god damn it this sucks.
Hey- I think Apple outta step up to the plate and police this problem of stolen iPods. Every iPod has an electronic serial number and iTunes undoubtedly has access to it.
Apple could match the ser# to the ISP customer’s IP address and send the cops -or at least send a report to the owner of record and the ISP.
Someone should start a class-action lawsuit to force this action. Or at least a petition.
Reid,
I really can’t say I agree with you here. To date, I’ve had my 30GB stolen… AND a Nano. The nano, however, I was able to retrieve. I don’t really think Apple is responsible. That’d be like asking the US Treasury to put a lojack on each coin & bill. In my case, I trusted the wrong people. Both times. When people see something they want, and want it bad enough, when the opportunity presents itself, it’s as good as gone. I don’t see Apple taking the time to lojack iPods. I mean, it’d be great if they did, but I don’t see it being high on the list of priorities. Just my two cents…
i just lost my 1 gb nano like 15 minits ago. i put it in my sweater pocket walked into school and its gone!!! all in like 2 minuits. dammit!!!!!
this sucks on your part when my iod was stolen i got it back and woh stole it got arrested (Nasty Bith)
