Hi, I am one of the developers of the Mac version of Timbuktu. It is great to see our product work well for you. One tip for you and anyone else using Timbuktu over a slow conection is to dynamically reduce the color depth of the remote screen. You can do this by selecting a lower color depth in the "Control" menu on your guest while controlling another machine. 16 greys works great over very slow connections and still lets you see enough detail to do work (unless you are retouching a photo or something where full color is needed).

Thanks for the tips on improving our user documentation. I will make sure those get passed to our doc team.

Take care!

hey. thanks for your post on timbuktu....had the same problem with skype version, as of today it seems it does not work with latest beta (2.0) of skype.... your comments acutally helped me more then the "help" of timbuktu.....
i am also suprised how "slow" the connection is....i will dig a little deeper...cause it seems slower then the outgoing bandwith of the computer i am remotely connecting to !
cheers,
marc

PS: for nico(above comment) the "no" has nothing to do with the skype username (ie: norman) it has to do with the version of skype that your contact is using !
