I bought this for my kids. Really. I promise. But if you ask my wife, she will confirm that my mom deprived me of Star Wars toys during my childhood. And that is why I must build my Star Wars empire now. For the kids of course.
This R2 unit has audio and visual sensors that allows him to follow you around a room. It can play back Princess Leah’s “Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi”message, minus the hologram. It can play hide and seek by using a motion sensor. It can dance to the cantina bar song or it can just keep you company by talking to you. It really is magical. And all that for $119.

That’s AWESOME! I don’t have kids, but this can be for later, when I do… yeah, that’s it… for later, when I have kids.
Wow! I want one! Not seen them here in the UK, but maybe I haven’t been looking for one until now.
I’d be muy eager to buy one… one question:
How does he do on carpet?
Very cool, indeed! As for whether it was intended for the kids, NOT BELIEVABLE for a moment. Shame on you, lying in cyberspace ;-)
miss you.
Great work, R2. Your son is like young Anakin.
Wow man that is cool. I hope you don’t mind me linking you video from my blog… But I’m just wondering one think… are you going to let your kid use it. If I was you I would be playing with it all the time lol. Maybe you can program it. So many possible uses!!!!!
That looks cool. How did you get that video embedded on there like that with just the arrow. Good stuff.
Damond, I’m using a WordPress plugin called Quicktime Embed. It uses Geoff’s Quicktime Object Javascript to create a web standards compliant Quicktime object tag. And as you can see, I can specify an image as a poster image to click through.
That’s great. My kids (and I) would love it.
Melvin, Lilia, Anika and Dantelooochi !
We miss you and hope that you are well. Keep keeping it real and I will see you soon.
Love
Vincent
