Here’s a treat for Bollywood fans. An NPR interview with legendary Bollywood singer Asha Bhosle on NPR’s Soundcheck. She has done playback singing for over 925 Bollywood movies and she is sister to none other than Lata Mangeshkar.

Oh look who decided to start updating their blog again. how quaint. coincidently, I’m in Varanasi, India at the moment. Here, there are 80 channels on the tube and 60 of them are playing either music videos or Bollywood features. non-stop indian-classical, bangra and bollywood. it’s insane. picked up some good tunes. will “share” of course.
