300 is not about the Spartan, but its about a king named Leonidas. Who will be do anything to protect his earth and loves.

I agree a bit with Julio about the Persian soldier is just rampage into the Spartan shield and spear. But, to me the whole war scene is very dramatically designed. It almost like watching a dance.

I enjoyed the movie, but found the ending to be quick and unexplained. If they would have made it another 30 minutes longer and really showed what happened near the end to explain what happened after they went into a circle and how that led to the end.

It’s worth seeing for the visuals, but I was a bit disappointed at how it flowed near the end.

What’s up man. I found your blog through Rudy Carrasco.
And I really like your blog.

I saw 300. I want to talk to someone who liked it to better understand it.
In no way do I think I am an expert in movies.
In my humble opnion I thought it was artificial and the war scenes were not well choreographed . It felt more like a Marine recruiting advertisment. It needed some of the kung fu influence to help bring the scenes together. At times it seemed like the Spartans would just swing their swords or throw their spears and the other guys would just run into it.

I really like that “pictoric” style of the film and it’s a mitic mediterranean story I won’t miss it but who knows, I’ll see.
