When I tended bar for the democratic national convention in LA and Mayor Daley (Chicago) came up for a G&T I flipped out on the poor guy...but he eventually gave me a $5 tip so I guess I wasn't too much for him. I used to live in his neighborhood so I'd see him with his family or on his own, and sometimes passengers would stop and chat. Never a bodyguard in sight though. It just never seemed necessary.
