I’m entering a learning season by diving into iPhone application development. I first got the iPhone book which recommended the Objective-C book which recommended the C book. It will be interesting going from programming scripting languages like PHP and Actionscript to Objective-C but I am looking forward to the challenge.

I’ve been working through the C book, myself. I absolutely love it. An excellent course. Have fun.
You go! It’s time to put your Über programming skilz to the test.
Were you completely lost when you started reading the iPhone book immediately, or are you trying to go about this process the right way?
Objective-C plays very well with the mindset of anyone that is used to dynamic languages. The biggest gotcha I can warn you about is to be very conscious of where the line between the Objective-C API and plain vanilla C API lie. You don’t want to mix the two if you can help it.
I haven’t encountered that problem yet but I’ll keep that in mind.
Hi!
What a coincidence.. ive been working on the same books.. nearly done the C book..
They’re really good, explain it very well too!
Good luck!
